What TrueBoot is — and isn't

TrueBoot measures a drop punt from a phone video and describes what it found. It is a training aid. It is not a substitute for a qualified coach, and it is not medical, physiotherapy or injury advice. If something hurts, see a professional, not an app.

Measurements come from a 2D video and carry the confidence the footage supports. Where the footage can't support a measurement, TrueBoot says so. Scores are labelled provisional until they've been validated on real training footage. Don't make decisions about a player's selection, health or development on a TrueBoot score alone.

Your content

You keep ownership of the videos you upload. You give TrueBoot permission to store and process them to provide the service and to check that the analysis worked, as described in the privacy policy. We won't use your footage publicly without your written permission. Only upload footage you have the right to upload — your own, or a player's with their consent (and a parent's, for juniors).

Acceptable use

Don't upload footage of people who haven't agreed to it, don't try to access other users' data, and don't attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We can suspend beta access for misuse.

Availability

The beta may go down, change, lose features or delete data without notice while it's being built. Keep your original videos.

Refunds and payment

The beta is free; nothing is charged and there is nothing to refund. When paid plans launch, this section will set out the pricing, cancellation and refund terms. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, TrueBoot isn't liable for loss arising from use of the beta, including reliance on a measurement or score. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies a guarantee that can't be excluded, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service.
